Synopsis
Prince Siegfried is urged by his parents to choose a bride, but by the shores of a lake he meets a mysterious swan maiden, Odette, enchanted by the sorcerer Rothbart. Only a sincere vow can save her. Captivated, he swears eternal love, until he meets Odile, the black swan...
Présentation
A magical ballet set to Tchaikovsky's sparkling music, Swan Lake was first created in 1877 for the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, later restaged by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. Nearly a century later, Rudolf Nureyev brought his own interpretation to the Paris Opera in 1984.
